Dave  Minor

Bassist

Dave just flat out loves to play the bass and make people dance! He started playing at 14 after his two buddies took him to his first concert.  By age 18 Dave was playing in an 8 piece dance band gigging around the Bay Area. Since then he has had the great fortune of traveling down many musical roads, performing in diverse settings from R&B, Blues, Funk and Jazz to Rock, Folk, Country and Church Music.

Dave has shared the stage with major label rock artists The Tubes and the Crash Test Dummies and neo-soul sensation Goapele.  Being the house bassist for blues jams in the North Bay gave Dave the opportunity to play with and learn from a lot of great musicians. Crush brings him full circle to the music he Loves the most! Dave is also a passionate music educator and is the owner of a music school on the Peninsula.

Dee  Johnson

Vocalist

Dee Coco Johnson is a multi talented artist from Cincinnati, Ohio. As with most vocalist with incredible ability, Dee started her musical journey in the church.
Upon singing her first solo at the ripe old age of 7 she quickly learned that her voice was something special.

Dee has worked with various bands and has performed on many stages in the Bay Area and abroad. She was one of the half time entertainers for the Warriors basketball team for 5 seasons, she has performed the National Anthem for numerous events, and can often be seen on your local “Lucky Supermarket” or “Sony PSP” commercial from time to time. Dee Coco Johnson is an incredible talent with loads of energy and a wide range of versatility. She delivers a show that is high energy and guaranteed to keep you coming back for more.

Miles  Pruitt

Drummer

Miles Pruitt was fortunate to be raised by two established and successful professional musicians, his parents, Joann and Nate Pruitt. Miles started playing drums at the age of 4 and studied under Steve Smith (Vital Information and Journey), Mylious Johnson (Pink, Alex Bugnon, Jovanotti) and Wally Schnalle (Ernie Watts, Nate Pruitt).

Miles has a passion for drums and has played with the best musicians in the Bay Area. Miles has also played with original groups/bands of the Bay Area and other popular artists such as: Ledisi, Soul II Soul, Mint Condition, Jackie Lee (new Pop Country Artist/Broken Bow Records), John West (Def Jam recording Artist) and Lainey Wilson (Broken Bow Records), Best New Female County Artist of the Year ACM 2022 winner.

Scott  Polland

Guitarist

Scott is a versatile Bay Area guitarist who brings joy and spontaneity to the stage. He started playing piano at 4 years old and became proficient in ragtime and jazz in his teens. Scott was increasingly fascinated by the range of expression of the guitar and it eventually became his primary instrument. The joy of playing guitar in live performance led him to performing in local bands and developing his craft. He was accepted into the Studio/Jazz Guitar program at the University of Southern California and obtained his degree in 1989.

 

Scott worked as a studio musician in Los Angeles and also enjoyed touring Europe to perform at Festival d'Aix (France), PinkPop Music Festival (Netherlands), and Fete de Musique Bruxelles (Belgium).   He has performed with/opened for:  David Lindley and El Rayo-X, The Ohio Players, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann, Alice and Ravi Coltrane, bassist Stanley Clarke, Slash (Guns & Roses), and keyboardist John Allair (Van Morrison).

Dana  WIthers

Keyboardist

Dana has been around music all his life. His father plays piano and his mother sings beautifully. He was active in the youth choir at his parents church at a very young age. At 12, he witnessed his older cousin's band and decided he would love to be in a band. Dana started playing keyboards in bands in high school. As time went on he learned to play a variety of instruments and started writing original music. His original bands opened for various signed artist even performing for the late Bill Graham.

His voice can be heard on video games like EA sports Tiger Woods Golf game for Playstation. He worked briefly with Felton Pilate of ConFunkShun and has shared the stage with El DeBarge and George Duke. This highly sought after musician has the joy of entertaining in his soul.
